pain..and no way to soak it away :(

Last night was a blast. Got back home around 2:30am and decided to tidy the flat - why is it at that time, after being out, that I feel the neded to tidy?

So, yesterday afternoon my whole grand plan was going so well. I had cleaned, the dinner was in the oven, I was half way through making Brownie mixture...and then for some reason I peered at the boiler...oh my....

The pilot light was out.

Now, considering the last time this happened I had to try for 3 hours and then eventually trick it into staying alight by turning a hot top on a spilt second before I lit it, this fills me with a sinking feeling, which today is still carrying on as I can't get the bleepin' thing to stay alight.

On top of that I did the training walk with Y10's today for Ten Tors and my feet are rather sore from their first proper walk in my new boots. So I am, at this moment, considering how I am to fill a bath with hot water so as I can actually be clean and fresh for tomorrow and my poor feet can have a relax.

I'm just going to see how many pans I've got......

Look out Bath...here we come!

This evening I am to experience my first night out in Bath!

Sarah (from the Boarding house) invited me to go out tonight. This is the first time I'll have been out - in fact really the first time I've done something resembling a 'social life' event - since I moved here so am pretty excited...sad innit?!

The job is going very well still, the money issue is still there but hopefully will be sorted out soon :) I have a total of 11 productions this term - all very exciting and certainly testing my resolution to not get stressed! The girls are being great though and I even have a few new ones join the team which is cool.

On the Peru front I have nearly enough studens to run the trip - so I am opening up to Y10's. Hopefully this means that by the beginning of next half term we will be able to start planning in earnest. Tomorrow I am helping out with a 10 Tors training session, partly for fitness and party to test out my exciting new boots!...SHould be interesting after my night out ;)

Another Birthday!

Yesterday I reached the grand old age of 27 - scary! A friend sent me a video on facebook (where much of my surfing time has been spent instead of here!) of all stuff about if you were bon in the early 80's. The last bit said that 'a child bon on the day you left scholl is now taking their GCSE's...!!!!!

Still despite all deep thought weirdness it was a lovely day. In the evenig the faculty went to Kate's and she cooked which was very nice :)

At the weekend Mum & Alan were down and I got my walking boots (my Christmas"slash"Birthday present - I've had a few of them over the years!) and they are rather funky. Italian made with a very thick sole. Gore-Tezx protected with a fancy lace-locking system. It was just pure gammy-ness that the only ones that didn't put huge amounts of pressure on the front of my left leg were some of the most expensive in the shop! Still came with a 20% discount with the school card os all was good. BCH Camping - very helpful, knowledgable people :)

So yeah, after a month of not posting....umm... Christmas/New year were a bit frantic - worked at the coach which was nice, plus I have cash to spend so avoiding using the card which is good. Spent CHritmas day at Jo&Vicky's and New Years Eve alone with the ct I was House Sitting! It was actually quite a pleasant evening :)

Will try and post more regularly now - trying to get myself a routine...and a social life!
