Planetary Personality

Never done one of these before - but the space theme tempted me.

You Are From the Moon

You can vibe with the steady rhythms of the Moon.
You're in touch with your emotions and intuition.
You possess a great, unmatched imagination - and an infinite memory.
Ultra-sensitive, you feel at home anywhere (or with anyone).
A total healer, you light the way in the dark for many.

Lady of Leisure

Well that's it. I have now officially finished work for the next 3 weeks until my time aboard the good ship 'Spirit' begins. It was a fairly usual day - except I was in the kitchen because AJ got stranded at the NEC! They'd written me a leaving card which was lovely - and totally unexpected, which is a novelty for me ;)

There is only one major downside. And that is that Russell (TPTB) hasn't yet sorted out my new mini-disc player. After mine was stolen form the club he said he'd sort out getting me a new one. Well that was over a month a go and he appears to have done Jack about it. I've gotten him proof of ownership, a price for a new one, heck, I even went on the net and found it cheaper AND gave him a print out of the website. He was having a particularly bad week at on point so he told me not to mention for a week - so I didn't mention it - for TWO weeks, and now he's just being bloody awkward! I know he's having hassle's, but heck, he ain't seen nothing if this doesn't get sorted. He could just give me the money and I could get it, maybe then he'd actually have the incentive to sort it out with the insurer's!

A Family in SIMS 2 had Twins - v. exciting!

Have found this fab new online game - Racing Frogs, mine's called FEEK and I race in Stumpy Creek. We used to have this on the table consoles at The Opal Lounge, definitely a good laugh!

Winter Night's

It's snowing...in November....WTH?

The Sea Safety course on Monday went well. 9 hours was a long time to be sat in a cold room learning about Risk assessment (which I already knew from my Uni course) and Safety procedures at sea. But it has helped me to a be a lot more prepared should something happen!

Met most of the rest of the entertainment team. Very nice folks, looks like it should be a good laugh. We're doing the shows, cabaret acts, a murder mystery and also a play - "Hobson's Choice" as well as them getting the chance to do individual Cabaret's if they so desire all sounds fab!

Oh, and my boss lady's surname is....Pickard - (Sad ST:TNG reference for anyone confused!)

Was in work at 9am this morning because some 'Coor's' people were having an all day meeting. It took me 1hr to get into town, that's ridiculous! Especially when your car is making all sorts of noises :S

I'm leaving work at the end of next week. To give myself the 2 weeks I need to sort everything out. Only a month before I'm off to the wild's of the Canaries for 6 months aboard the good ship 'Thomson Spirit'. On a bizarre note, the receptionist form my Dr's is going to be onboard in March - small world or what!

FREAKY HAPPENING'S:
Have no Draught Beer at work this week. Everytime someone had to chose a different drink yesterday I knew what they wanted before they said it.

And this morning I was listening to Radio 2, and after they had played one song they mentioned about the 24hour music marathon for Children in Need. You can get in touch, donate some money and they'll play a song for you. At that moment I decided I'd like to hear 'Keeping the dream Alive' (can't remember who by - and just walked in on a weird scenario trying to find out, so won't bother) and lo and behold what was the next song they played.... Really quite bizarre!

And now it's down!

Ah yes, a lovely double entendre fits the end of the run perfectly! The last night went pretty good. Beryl (prompt) was needed a few times but that didn't really make any difference to the flow. Son + Ad, Brett + Clare, Liz + Leanne (regulars from PB) were there, along with Granny, Trisha (Aunt), Jo + Vicky so alot of folks in! We had about 3 rows of the circle full aswell which was great :)

Here's a few photo's: (click to see large version)

Gotta go up to Leeds in a bit to drop some stuff off at the flat and got to the B'n'B I'm staying in tonight before the SOLAS course tommorow - sea saftey certificate requierd for working on cruise ships. I get to meet some of the team members as well which'll be good!

Isn't it beginning to feel like Christmas?......

And the curtain's up!

Third night is over - only one more to go!

Has been going pretty well. Got a good review in the Birmingham Evening Mail
I was remembered as " the high-rise tart with the high-rise hem line"
which was very true on the first night - was having a serious problem with my
stockings that night!

Really been enjoying being back on stage, forgotten what the buzz was like! The first night I nearly freaked just before curtain up had one of those "I'd like to wake up form this dream NOW" moments. But it all went fine ans the audience really enjoyed it. Nick( from Pacific Blue)was there with his girlfriend and when I saw him today I got his feedback, think he had a blast :)

T,D + H can't come and watch, something about a friend's birthday party and a rugby tournament, so I sent him this photo to show him what he'd be missing imagine his response!;)

We had 2 guy's come today to fit new windows in the back of the house. The bathrooms look really bizarre with plastic not wood frames, kind of cool seeing the rooms without windows though.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLOG

Actually things with TDH may continue, he's going to come and see me in the play next week.....

If you skip over to this blog you will find some very cute pictures of Moffy's Biggest Fan fuflilling his week's ambition of washing her!

I have just checked and I realise I have been posting on this blog for exactly one year...

***"HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR BLOOOO-OOOG...."***

One of those days, but with a major good point!

Moffy is playing up, something to do with her fuel pump I think. I'll work it out at some point!

This is my first night at home (ie no rehearsals/work/social event) for practically 2 weeks! I'm shattered! Work today was a fiasco, everyone's getting fed up with disorganisation scenario and the lack of stock/change. It's not helping us do out jobs and we're losing customer's.

Having said that 2 of the regulars (Liz+Leanne) are coming to watch the play next week! Rehearsals are going OK. We had our last 'out of theatre' rehearsal last night. It was a bit naff but the room wasn't very good and everyone's getting tired. We got to rehearse on the stage on Wednesday and it made such a difference. It felt sooo much better, even if most of the bits we were concentrating on were mine and I had to stand up for a looong time in the high heels! There's a preview in this week's Redditch Advertiser there is a photo as well so everyone has a view of my stocking tops....classy :)

Had a blast at my social events last week. Clare's birthday meal was good. Got to chat to a couple of people I wouldn't normally. Felt a bit out of place, but had a fun evening!

Naomi + Scott's wedding reception was great. She looked gorgeous and the evening was a blast. Saw loads of the actor's from my year at Uni. I found it quite amusing when each one of them asked "What are you doing here" to which I truthfully replied "I was invited".

Had even more fun when I offered Robbie, Simon, Tashi + Mark a lift to their hotel. See the entry entitled "Halloween 76: The Bournville 5"

I think Tall, Dark + Handsome has given up on me - kind of understandable seen as I've not exactly been available. Shame though, really like him.

Now to the good point: I have a job for when I come back. Not only that but...
*It's Stage Management
*It's for a Christian Event
*It's in Birmingham
How cool! I had a meeting with Jon Hitching this morning about the event called "b-cent 23-7". Basically next year is the Church of England in Birmingham's centenary and during the coming months loads of events are going on. This event will be the culmination for the whole year - it's a massive youth event lasting all day with a main stage, bands, speakers, Graffiti Wall, Velcro Wall, Break Dancing Area, Craft Tent + prayer tent. It's gonna rock :)! I can't really do much until I have all the tech specs for the bands etc, but most of my job will be keeping on top of everything and ensuring everything and everyone is where they are supposed to be - fabulous:) This really is an answered prayer and will still needs lots of it during the year!
